Children’s Day at the Museum Sponsored by Churchill Downs Group

Children’s Day at the Museum Sponsored by Churchill Downs Group occurs every 2nd or 3rd Saturday of the month in the Weems-Botts Museum Annex. Sign your child up for free for educational children’s activities, immersive history lessons, and make-and-take crafts. September 2024: Join us in learning about and playing different outdoor games that children played in the Colonial Period, like marbles, stick and hoop, graces, and hopscotch! Free tickets can be reserved on our Eventbrite Page Here!

 


Seasonal Programs & Special Events

Into the Shadows Ghost Tours

Join us for one of our seasonal haunted walking tours, only during the month of October! Our paranormal expert will take you through multiple locations in Dumfries’ historic district while sharing local ghost stories – the tour will end at the Weems-Botts historic house, the site of many of these tales!
