Dumfries Charter Day

Join us in Merchant Park for a free, family-friendly event commemorating the town’s 1749 charter, which made Dumfries the first chartered town in Virginia. Food and craft vendors, living history demonstrations and reenactors, children’s activities, raffles, and informational tables on local resources and historical organizations will be open throughout the event.
