“An Artful Fellow”: Slavery in Dumfries in the 18th Century

Join us for this virtual presentation on slavery in Dumfries and Virginia in the 18th century, focusing on laws, historic sites, and people. From discussing historic sites in Dumfries to reading excerpts from court records illuminating the lives of the enslaved, this presentation is designed to provide a better understanding of the Town of Dumfries during the 1700s.
