Historic Dumfries Virginia, Inc./The Weems-Botts Museum is seeking applications from people interested in joining its Board of Directors. Prospective board members with beneficial professional and/or public relationships and/or experience in business or non-profit management/administration, fundraising/development, budget/finance/investments, planning & policy, marketing, and/or historical research/interpretation/education are strongly encouraged to apply. Our Board of Directors meets monthly on a weekday evening. Board Committees meet according to their committee’s needs and members’ schedules.
The Weems-Botts Museum is operated by Historic Dumfries Virginia, Inc. a 501(c)3 non-profit membership organization whose mission is to preserve and promote the historic heritage of Dumfries – Virginia’s oldest chartered town. Historic Dumfries Virginia also hosts educational programs and events and maintains a research library, archive, and collections of artifacts related to Dumfries’ history.
